The Quinnipiac University Financial Aid Office works with all applicants to assure that they receive the maximum state and federal aid for which they are eligible. In addition, the Office seeks to coordinate institutional aid resources to make a Quinnipiac education affordable. Over 80 percent of the student body receives financial aid through a combination of grants, scholarships, student loans, and on-campus jobs.
The University offers approximately 1000 merit-based scholarships to incoming freshmen (admission application deadline Feb. 1) for which no financial need is required. There are no special applications to be considered for merit aid and qualified students are notified of scholarship offers two to three weeks after they are admitted.
All *NEW* students interested in applying for financial aid (includes accelerated nursing and transfer students) AND students who entered the university as a freshmen or transfer student after July 1, 2011 are required to submit the CSS Profile Form annually which can be completed online. Returning undergraduate students who began full-time enrollment at the university prior to July 1, 2011 are NOT required to complete this form. Quinnipiac University's CSS Code is: 3712. The CSS Profile will determine a student's eligibility for institutional need-based grant aid.
ALL STUDENTS, NEW and RETURNING, interested in applying for financial aid, regardless of start date, are required to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) which can be completed online at: www.fafsa.gov. Quinnipiac University's FAFSA Code is: 001402. All incoming students must have their FAFSA and Profile "date stamped" by the appropriate processor by March 1 and all returning students must have their FAFSA date stamped by April 1 in order to be given full consideration for financial aid.

Early Decision Applicants: December 1
Students who are filing "early decision" for admissions should have their CSS Profile completed on or before December 1 in order to be evaluated for financial aid. Early Decision award letters will go out in late December. Students filing their CSS Profile after the December 1st deadline will be awarded aid in the order applications are received. Early decision applicants are NOT required to file the CSS Profile if they are not interested in applying for institutional need-based grant aid.
Freshmen and Transfer Students: March 1
Award letters are generated in the order that the CSS Profile and FAFSA are received and we will begin awarding students on a rolling basis beginning in late January. All applicants who meet the March 1st deadline should receive their initial award letter no later than April 1. The CSS Profile and FAFSA forms are NOT required to receive an academic scholarship.
Returning Students: April 1
Award letters are generated in the order that FAFSAs are received, on a rolling basis, beginning in late May after final grades are posted. All on-time applicants, whose files are complete and processed by our office should receive their award letter no later than June 30. Incomplete files will be processed throughout the summer.
While we welcome late applications, funding availability is tentative after the prescribed deadlines.
